After the success of our previous April Fools’ gag, we were asked to go bigger and better so not only did we create a film but we made prototypes and sent them out to bloggers to take out for a spin and review.

Power of 10p

Young people aged 21-28 weren’t interested in smart meters and research had shown general apathy for any mention of energy bills. We wanted to create a way for smart meters to be relevant, but also to drive home what exactly measuring bills in £s and pence means in interesting ways. We created The Power of 10p, a campaign involving a series of challenges that focus on how much 10p of energy is.

#SavingCup

first direct’s save app helps you work out the little things you can cut back on to save for the bigger stuff. To promote it we demoed the app on social, asking people what they were saving for and responding with a personalised illustration from Mr Bingo himself and calculation of the number of coffee cups they’d need to sacrifice.

April Fucking Fools

Not many banks could pull off an April Fools’ gag let alone encourage a shitload of swearing but our client was so happy with the results they’ve made the prank a regular feature.
